Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport[1300m]

Our crew will greet you when you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. You can recognize us by seeing our sign board at the exit door of the Airport. After that, you'll be driven to the hotel near Thamel. After a brief orientation, the trek guide will be introduced to you. You can go shopping to get the supplies you'll need and get ready for the hike. Stay the night in Kathmandu.

Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap [2800m]

Your tour begins on the first day with a drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar. Until you get to Ghurmi, you'll be traveling along the Sun-Koshi River. During the trek, you'll get to witness the stunning views of hillsides, rivers, forests, and farms. You'll arrive at Dhap Bazaar after several hours of driving through numerous settlements. You can look around the neighborhood market and get a feel for how people live in Dhap. Stay the night in Dhap.

Day 3 Trek from Dhap to Sigane or Jhapre [2920 m]

You depart from Dhap Bazaar today and move toward the Jhapre which is at 2,920m altitude. It is a sloping trail down the arid trails that lead to Sigane. The trail then turns into a rocky, uneven slope that leads to Jhapre. As you move in the direction of Jhapre, you will catch a sight of the Himalayan Ranges. You may get a nice view of Mount Everest and the Nimbur Himal from the village of Jhapre. You can see modest Buddhist stupas and gompas in Jhapre. Stay the night in Jhapre.

Day 4 Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp [3640m]

You continue on to Pikey Base Camp, from where you ascend to Pikey Peak. A dusty trail leads you to an upward trail that leads to Bhulbule. As the trail steepens, you pass through rhododendron trees and arrive at the little town of Lhamuje. From this point on, the trail widens and yaks may be seen grazing in the pastures. You'll arrive at the Pikey Base Camp, where you may enjoy lovely views of the surrounding mountains, after a short uphill hike. Stay the night at Pikey Base Camp.

Day 5 Trek from Pikey Peak Base Camp to Chaula Kharka [1460m] Via Pikey Peak [4065m]

Finally, on this day, you ascend to Pikey Peak's summit. Before dawn, you begin hiking along the progressively increasing trail. The majority of the peak top is covered in prayer flags as you approach the summit. The panoramic views of the Himalayas, which include the Annapurna Peaks and Kanchenjunga, are stunning from the summit. The Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang, etc., offer amazing sunrise views. After breakfast, you'll head back to base camp before continuing on to Chaula Kharka. To get to Chaula Kharka, you must pass through the nearby settlements of Kosinasa and Lamane. Spend the night in Chaula Kharka.

Day 6 Trek from Chaula Kharka to Shivalaya [1770m]

On this day, you’ll trek to your last destination, Shivalaya. Shivalaya is a big and famous village in the Khumbu region. You’ll climb up to the Deurali pass from Chaula Kharka and then head downwards to Shivalaya. The Deurali Bazaar is the rest point which is where you’ll have lunch. There are many hotels and lodges in Shivalaya where you can rest after the tiring trek. Overnights stay in Shivalaya.

Day 7 Drive from Shivalaya to Kathmandu

Lastly, you’ll drive to Kathmandu from Shivalaya. You pass Charikot, Mudu, and Dolalghat as you continue further on the Araniko Highway. After you reach Kathmandu, you check in to the hotel and have a nice farewell dinner. You can walk around the hotel area in the evening if you are interested. Overnights stay in Kathmandu.

Day 8 Departure Day

You’ll be dropped off at the Tribhuvan International Airport before your scheduled flight. You can also book other tours and trek packages, if interested.

Typical Day in the Pikey Peak Trail:

During the Trek, the morning starts with a nutritious breakfast at around 6 or 7 am. Because, the order for breakfast will be noted night before, the teahouse will have it ready on time. Before coming for breakfast at dining hall, we recommend you pack your duffel bag & leave it ready so that porter can pick it up & set off to another destination.

Your Guide will give a short briefing & explain about the trails, difficulty and scenic points of the day. Continuing your trek, you will have a lunch break on the trail most likely at a small village or settlement.

After lunch, the trek continues until your destination where you will spend your night. The dinner will served 6 to 7 pm at dining hall. After dinner, your guide will explain the route & landscape for the next day & take order for your breakfast. Your belongings (bags) will be already in your room and you can have an option to engage in activities like playing cards, sharing stories or go to bed early.
